On Sunday, 10th November, I attended the Rememberance Sunday service in Fishguard, a poignant gathering to honor those who served and sacrificed in conflicts past and present. The community came together around the town, with veterans, families, and local groups paying their respects. The solemn silence, broken only by the soft hum of the breeze and the poignant notes of the Last Post, set a reflective tone as wreaths were laid in memory of the fallen.
I took the opportunity to capture photographs throughout the ceremony, documenting the heartfelt moments of tribute and the striking display of poppies. It was a powerful experience to see people of all ages come together to remember and reflect. The images serve as a reminder of the deep respect and gratitude held by the Fishguard community for the brave individuals who have served our country.
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We will remember them. The Last Post is sounded.”
